You only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components.
CHECK DEVICE MODEL NO.
To make sure your device is eligible with this, you must first confirm its model no. in ‘About device’ option under Settings. Another way to confirm model no. is by looking for it on the packaging box of your device. It must be GT-N7100!

BEFORE YOU BEGIN..
You must do this pre-installation stuff before attempting to install the ROM on your Galaxy NOTE 2 in order to avoid any complications later, and have a smooth and successful process.
BACK UP YOUR DEVICE
![N7100 N7100](/uploads/1/2/5/7/125770391/867704439.jpg)
Back up important data and stuff before you start playing around here as there are chances you might lose your apps and app-data (app settings, game progress, etc.), and in rare case, files on the internal memory, too.
For help on Backup and Restore, check out our exclusive page on that linked right below.

CHARGE YOUR DEVICE
If your android device powers off due to lack of battery while the process is underway, it could damage the device.
So, make sure your device is adequately charged — at least 50% battery of the device.
EXAMPLE VIDEO
If you haven’t used a custom recovery, either CWM or TWRP, before, to install a .zip file of a ROM on anything else, then we suggest you first watch a video of that, given right below, to get familiar with the process.
Just fyi, the video below shows installing a .zip file (of recovery) on Galaxy S3, but it doesn’t matter as the process remains exactly same. So, once you are finished with video, jump to downloads and step-by-step guide below.

There is a brand new Android 4.4.2 firmware available for download, one that was launched for the Asian region. This new ROM is still an official update and if you're based on Asia, then you can use this tutorial in order to install it on your Galaxy Note 2 N7100.
Android 4.4.2 XXUFNG4 ROM can be installed on any Galaxy Note 2 N7100 all over the world, but most regions have already got this new update and might not need to use this manual guide. Before starting the installation you should read the guidelines below:
- use this post only with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100.
- check the model under Settings> About Phone, the model number section should say N7100.
- if the phone's version differs from the one listed above, then you should close this guide as it won't work with other Android devices. - download and install the Samsung USB Drivers for your computer.
- these drivers will allow you to connect your phone to your PC via Odin.
- Odin is the app that you will use to flash the Android 4.4.2 N7100XXUFNG4 ROM, so you will need to make sure that these USB drivers are present on your computer. - disable any antivirus app and the Samsung KIES software from running on your PC.
- enable USB Debugging from Developer Options menu.
- if you don't know how to do it, then you should check the info here, that's a guide for advanced users, but you can use it for any other Android device. - if your Galaxy Note 2 N7100 is rooted, then you should know that the update process will revoke root access.
- any custom Recovery that you might have installed on your device will be replaced with a Stock Recovery. - if your device runs on a custom ROM then you will see the device's system memory getting wiped in the process.
- overwriting the custom ROM will also force you to apply a 'factory reset' after the installation is complete, more info is listed at the end of this post.
- the 'factory reset' doesn't wipe data from internal nor external storage.
- if you wish to save data from installed apps or SMS text messages then you should use the Helium tool for Android.
- sync Contacts info with your default Gmail account. - check the battery power level of your phone and make sure that it is over 50%, this will prevent it from switching off during installation.
- this is a guide for advanced users, do not blame us in case you brick the phone nor in case you lose any data in the process.
- read the whole tutorial, do not skip any steps and you should be able to complete the installation without problems.
Since you've read all of the above you can continue to the next part of this post and learn how to manually flash a new firmware for your device.

These were all the steps that you had to follow in order to complete the installation of a brand new Android 4.4.2 firmware on your computer.
If the installation has failed then you should continue reading the extra 'notes' below. If the installation was successful you can close this guide and start testing the new ROM.
NOTE 1:
In case ODIN freezes or the installation fails, then you should try to repeat the whole guide more than once, but make sure not to skip any steps. Also, check the guidelines more than once and make sure that the phone meets all requirements.
NOTE 2:
In case ODIN says that the install was passed, but the phone cannot get past the Samsung boot animation logo, then you will be forced to apply a 'factory reset'. This process should also be used for devices that were running a custom ROM.
Here's how to apply the factory reset: boot the device in Recovery Mode, select 'wipe data/ factory reset' and confirm process. Reboot phone in normal mode and you should be done. In case you need more help, then you should tell us in comments.
